Kelly Rowland's Caress Endorsement is a Great Move

by Kenya Foy

Kelly Rowland may be down a major label backing, but her latest career move proves that she won't be counted out just yet, and is good for much more than her ability to Talk a Good Game. The "Motivation" songstress, who's coming off a not-so-cozy relationship with her formal label Universal Republic, demonstrated how she's still in the running with her recent announcement of a partnership with beauty brand Caress.

Hopefully this endorsement deal offers the perfect assist in revamping Rowland's career. The potential of widespread exposure it will provide comes at a great time, with Rowland working on a new album and reportedly exploring more acting roles.

If she continues on her current path, perhaps she will join the likes other female celebrities whose careers soared to the next level on the heels of major endorsements. The list of elite endorsers includes Zooey Deschanel and Jennifer Hudson, whose name is practically synonymous with Weight Watchers. And finally, perched atop the pinnacle of endorsement-wrangling sits tennis phenom Maria Sharapova, whose deals with Nike and Tiffany & Co. contributed to her nabbing the title of world's highest-paid female athlete.

Rowland being a suitable representative for the beauty brand isn't solely due to the fact that her gorgeous complexion falls right in line with Caress and its desire to have everyone sport picture-perfect skin. Despite her history of label struggles, she's demonstrated constant resilience and hardly has any reason to crawl beneath a rock, shrouded in shame. Instead, her list of accolades and previous endorsement deals read like a top-notch who's who list.

Although poor album sales have forced many a singer out of commission, Rowland continues to push forward. Naturally, one can only assume that the singer's new alignment with Caress will refresh more than her already-flawless complexion.
