Now that Halloween is over, the winter holiday season is already kicking up — and you know what that means, right? Yep: Starting Nov. 1, Starbucks’ holiday drinks are back for 2016, bringing us a dose of holiday cheer right when we need it the most. Holiday creep may be real, but sometimes, it’s a welcome phenomenon.
As of today, coffee fans can nab their favorite holiday flavors at participating Starbucks locations across the United States. This year’s offerings include five perennial favorites: The Caramel Brulee Latte, which features espresso, steamed milk, caramel brulee sauce, whipped cream, and a caramel brulee topping; the Chestnut Praline Latte, made of espresso and flavors of caramelized chestnuts, steamed milk, whipped cream, and spiced praline crumbs; the Eggnog Latte, which consists of espresso combined with steamed eggnog and milk and dusted with ground nutmeg; the Gingerbread Latte (my personal favorite), combining the flavor of gingerbread with espresso, steamed milk, whipped cream, and nutmeg; and of course the Peppermint Mocha (seen up top), which brings together espresso, steamed milk, chocolate, and peppermint, topping the whole thing off with whipped cream and chocolate curls.

Additionally, you can order lighter versions of a few of these classic picks, including a Skinny Peppermint Mocha, a Skinny Gingerbread Latte, an Iced Chestnut Praline Latte with almond milk and no whip, a Caramel Brulee Light Frappuccino, and an Eggnog Light Frappuccino. (It doesn’t get cold everywhere during the winter, right?)
Most of these drinks have been around for well over a decade; indeed, the Pumpkin Spice Latte, first created in 2003, was originally inspired by the success of Starbucks’ holiday drinks. The Chestnut Praline Latte, however, didn’t arrive onto the scene until 2014, making it the first new holiday drink Starbucks had debuted in about five years. My, how the time does fly!

All of the Starbucks holiday beverages range in price from $4.25 to $4.75 for a 12-ounce Tall, depending on the market; additionally, a 12-ounce Tall of the Chestnut Praline Latte, the Eggnog Latte, the Gingerbread Latte, the Caramel Brulee Latte, and the Skinny Peppermint Mocha has 75 mg of caffeine, while a 12-ounce Tall of the Peppermint Mocha has 95 mg. The drinks will be available in Starbucks stores in the United States throughout the holiday season while supplies last.
So what are you waiting for? Go treat yourself today. ’Tis the season, after all!
