Doctor Strange represents an important entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film not only introduces a new hero, it also brings in the concepts of magic and alternate dimensions to the MCU. It boasts a more diverse cast than its brethren, is more visually immersive than anything Marvel's ever done, and is radically different in tone than other Marvel movies. It's a serious and heavy movie... so of course people are mercilessly making fun of it on the internet. There are a number of Doctor Strange memes and jokes floating around the interwebs, and rounding up the best of them might require a magic spell or two.
From Stephen Strange's funky hand signals to Tilda Swinton's bald head to Strange's plea of "Teach me!" in the trailer, fans have found plenty about the movie to poke fun at before it even hits theaters. And given how the star of the movie is Benedict Cumberbatch, AKA the internet's boyfriend, that's not too much of a surprise. So before you become bogged down with trying to figure out how mystical beings and alternate realities fit in with the likes of Iron Man and Captain America, have a few laughs at the expense of Doctor Strange.
