Last-Minute Celeb Couple Halloween Costumes
Halloween is just around the corner, so it's about time you head on over to Party City or frantically rifle through your closet and get your costume together! TBH, last-minute Halloween costumes are often thrown together in a rush, but they sure as hell don't have to look that way. In fact, you can still be the hit of the party (and win that costume contest!) with something pulled together at the last minute. If you and your significant other need some last-minute inspiration — and you're all about that pop culture life — check out these last-minute celeb couple Halloween costume ideas.
While 2016 has destroyed most of the world's favorite celeb couples (will fans ever be over Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama's shocking split?), there are still many out there that give us hope for true love. And hey, even if the couple is no longer together (looking at you, T. Swift and Tom Hiddleston), there's something to be said for a Halloween costume that captures an iconic moment in pop culture — and yes, I would say that the summer of #Hiddleswift certainly qualifies.
Go ahead and draw inspiration from the last-minute celeb couple costumes below... all complete with items you can easily find in your home or in a party goods store. Happy Halloween!
1. Zayn Malik & Gigi Hadid
Zayn Malik
Have a suit at home? Good, you're already most of the way there. Pair the suit with a white button-down (leave it open) and have your girlfriend give you a big ol', hot pink lipstick-ed smooch on the chest (and of course, some eyeliner-ed wings around it) to perfectly match Malik's chest tattoo. One of these bad boys (see below) will also help you perfectly channel the singer's futuristic Met Gala look.
Complete the look with an inflatable microphone (people have to know you're a singer, after all) from Party City for $8.99.
Gigi Hadid
Have any kind of long, formal-looking dress hanging in your closet? Perfect! (If you don't, literally any women's clothing store — Forever 21, H&M, Nordstrom — is bound to have one.) Grab a long, blonde wig (the one below retails for just under $30 at Party City), a pair of these boxing gloves (to represent the time that Hadid went hard against the celeb prankster who attacked her from behind), and you're good to go.
2. Taylor Swift & Tom Hiddleston
Taylor Swift
High-waisted pants? Check. Crop top? Check. Two stuffed animal cats from your parents' basement or any toy store ever? Check. (To represent Meredith and Olivia, duh.) Pick up that same Party City inflatable musical instruments kit for less than $9, grab the wig below (you can cut it if you want), and helloooo, T. Swift.
Tom Hiddleston
Get yourself a tank top, a sharpie, a red body crayon and you're all set. Write "I <3 T.S." on the tank, draw a heart with a "T" in the middle on your bicep, #done.
3. John Legend & Chrissy Teigen
John Legend
Any classy suit will do for this guy — just make sure to grab this $5 inflatable piano from Walmart to go along with it:
Chrissy Teigen
How to dress like Chrissy Teigen? Think glam AF. Sky high heels, a little black dress, and a cringey smile plastered to your face all night (c'mon — you know that meme). You could even print out some of her more iconic tweets and tape 'em to your dress.
4. Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth
Miley Cyrus
Step 1: Grab a gray leotard/bodysuit (if you don't have one, H&M does). Step 2: Print out a picture of the cartoon bear and tape it on said leotard. Step 3: Put your hair up in two buns. Step 4: That Party City inflatable microphone. I'm tellin' ya.
Liam Hemsworth
Spike the front your hair '00s style — think Cameron Diaz in There's Something About Mary here — and go for whatever suit you have in your closet. Bonus points? Talk in an Australian accent all night and reference The Hunger Games whenever you get a chance. That's what Liam Hemsworth does, right?
5. Kim Kardashian & Kanye West
Kim Kardashian
How to channel Kim K? Break out the biggest, most blingiest costume jewelry you can find. Then put on your most glamorous dress — or most Kim K like athleisure (a pair of tight leggings, a sports bra, and some bright sneaks would do just fine — and voila. Just don't forget the wig:
(Whatever you do, don't buy this. It's actually disgusting.)
Kanye West
If you don't have a pair of Yeezys kickin' around at home, you could always go the silly route: Grab whatever sneakers you have and literally write (or tape a piece of paper with) "Yeezy" on 'em. Again, that inflatable Party City microphone comes in handy here — as would any hilarious "Kanye loves Kanye" meme printed out and taped on a black, baggy shirt.
Now go forth and party — celeb couple style.
