The Details On 'Bachelor In Paradise'
Say hello to what will very likely be your favorite guilty pleasure this summer: We've got the details on this summer's Bachelor in Paradise. Turns out, it will be much like last summer's nixed Bachelor Pad, except it will take place on a beach, which of course is a HUGE gamechanger — vacation time!
The show, which will be hosted by Chris Harrison, will take villains and favorites from the past seasons so that they can get a second chance at finding true love, 'cause, ya know, ain't no time to find love like your second time on reality television!
The ladies and gents will compete for true l-u-v (and/or fame and notoriety) on this isolated tropical locale. If they don't find their future spouse, there's still plenty of opportunities to get down 'n dirty in the sand! And you how it goes on The Bachelor — it's a show that practices polyamory to find monogamy.
ABC says that much like its namesake show, there will be a rose ceremony, but there's no word if the contestants who get the ax will have to go home. (In other words, it'll be more like real life when you hook up with someone in your office and you have to FACE YOUR DECISIONS.)
The network cites the dating show as such: "the romantic dating series will feature new twists, shocking surprises, unexpected guests and some of the most unlikely relationships in Bachelor history, plus all the usual romance, drama and tears we’ve come to expect from the Bachelor franchise. It all comes together in the romantic television event of the summer.”
The show will launch after this season of The Bachelorette , featuring Andi Dorfman as the titular single lady lookin' for love, comes to a close. It will run six episodes. In other words, consider this your summer fling.
