Starbucks is well known for offering special drinks and treats in honor of holidays and milestones — and right now, the coffee giant is celebrating the birthday of their much-loved Pumpkin Spice Latte with a brand new treat: Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream. When can I get the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream, you might be wondering? It's limited edition, so you'll want to snap it up while you can. I mean, the PSL has just turned 13, and you know how teenagers can be.
Like many of Starbucks' other fun offerings, like the Cherry Blossom Frappuccino, this one's appearance will be super quick: All versions of the Pumpkin Spice Latte — hot, iced, and Frappuccino — will come with Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream from Oct. 6 to Oct. 9 at participating stores in the United States and Canada. You can also get it added for free to any other drink you might want to order. But even if it's only here for a brief amount of time, it's a great way to dress up your drink and treat yourself a little. For the curious, Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream is made with your favorite PSL ingredients: Real pumpkin goes into it, as well as cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and clove.
And there are loads of ways you can use this limited edition treat, too. You can add it to the top of your PSL to really drive home the flavors; you can add it to a totally different Frappuccino to make your own "secret" menu order (Java Chip Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino, anyone?); heck you can even just use it to add a little extra pizzazz to a drink that might otherwise only come with plain old whipped cream. Does a Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cream White Mocha sound decadent or what?
Starbucks has had a pretty fun run with flavored whipped creams. Who doesn't remember the pretty pink whipped cream that came on top of their Birthday Cake Frappuccino? And the marshmallow-infused whipped cream that tops the summer S'mores Frappuccino is pretty much a legend on its own.
I'm willing to bet this PSL Whipped Cream is going to be a huge hit with Starbucks customers. Since it's leaving us so soon, we'll be left up to our own devices to recreate the magic at home — but until then, we better get it while the getting is good, and get ourselves to Starbucks ASAP to try this magical treat.
