Ian Somerhalder Really Loves Dating His Co-Stars, Like, A Lot
This past week, Ian Somerhalder got together with one of his exes and co-stars — and no, it wasn't Nina Dobrev. Ian Somerhalder palled around with former Lost co-star and ex-girlfriend Maggie Grace at Lost's 10th anniversary panel at PaleyFest, and the results were adorable. The former Boone and Shannon clearly don't have much bad blood left over from their split. And it's no wonder that it was easy for Ian to hang with his former ex — after all, he's pretty skilled in the art of dating, and breaking up with co-stars.

Kate Bosworth
Kate Bosworth and Ian Somerhalder starred together on the Dawson’s Creek spin-off Young Americans but didn’t start dating until 2002 when they reunited for the Bret Easton Ellis novel adaption The Rules of Attraction. Like the Dawson’s Creek spin-off, their relationship was short-lived.
Maggie Grace
She may have played the manipulative Shannon on Lost, but in real life, this girl seems like a total sweetheart. She and Ian dated after they were killed off on the hit series (there really should be some sort of support group for dead Lost-ers). Maggie Grace is heading back to television — could that mean a possible TV reunion?
Nina Dobrev
It’s debatable whether Elena and Damon are endgame, but after seeing photos of Ian and Nina in their real-life relationship, I’m way more about shipping them than I am about their Vampire Diaries alter-egos. The two dated from 2010 to 2013 but have remained cordial and friendly — not like these current co-stars really have an option, though.
Malese Jow
Trouble amongst The CW stars, or just a vicious rumor? Hmm… After getting cozy with Malese Jow at BloodyCon, rumors swirled that these two were the reason behind the infamous Nina Dobrev split. Malese Jow played a vampire on the first season of the show, and later went on to star in The CW’s latest series Star-Crossed, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Ian and Malese could be just friends. However, Nina Dobrev did tweet some cryptic messages about feeling owed an apology. Could it be because Ian had cheated with another co-star? Say it ain’t so.

Did these two really hook up? Hmm… maybe not — co-stars are notoriously close, right?! But rumors of a steamy Vampire Diaries affair sprang up after Kat said that the co-star she most wanted to have an onscreen romance with was none other than gal pal Nina Dobrev’s ex Ian Somerhalder. Don’t worry, there doesn’t seem to be trouble in paradise amongst the TVD clan — she insists it’s only because they both work with the same acting coach and would do really great work together. We’re totally inclined to agree with her — who wouldn’t want a steamy love scene with Damon Salvatore?
