Kim Kardashian Is Laying Low After The Robbery
On Sunday, October 2, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room, as confirmed by her spokesperson. Luckily, per the spokesperson's statement, Kardashian is "badly shaken but physically unharmed." While her husband, Kanye West, was busy performing in New York, the reality television star was enjoying Paris Fashion Week prior to the horrifying incident. But where is Kim Kardashian now?
Following the attacks, Us Weekly reports that the KUWTK star flew out of Paris' Le Bourget airport on a private jet around 9:30 a.m. As of Monday morning, Kardashian arrived at her New York City apartment surrounded by security. "Kim, Kanye, Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble pulled up outside their residence," reported TMZ. "They had a caravan of about 10 vehicles with 15-20 bodyguards watching everything and everyone in the area, and NYPD's also on the scene. The amount of security is exactly like what you see when POTUS makes an appearance."
From the looks of it, the starlet will most likely be staying out of the public eye for quite some time, and the social media silence following her once-excited Paris Instagram posts does feel especially deafening. But who could really blame Kardashian for going off the radar at this time?
With the robbers still at large in Paris, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian have all left the city, despite rumors of Jenner walking in the Chanel Fashion Show scheduled on Tuesday. And, as far as Kardashian's October 14 trip to Dubai is concerned, no official cancellations or changes of plans have been put in place. While Kardashian has yet to personally comment on the attacks, E! News managed to receive a statement from her mother, Kris Jenner, who further confirmed that Kardashian West "will be OK."
Her husband, Kanye West — who is currently on a break from Twitter — abruptly left his show at the New York Meadows Festival Sunday night in saying, "I'm sorry, family emergency I have to stop the show." The New York Meadows Festival released a statement that read:
"Due to a family emergency, Kanye West was forced to end his performance towards the end of his set. We appreciate the great show he put on for fans to close out the inaugural Meadows Festival. Our thoughts are with West and his family."
An armed robbery is certainly not something to take lightly, and our thoughts are with Kardashian at this horrifying time.
