Over the past week, Kim Kardashian has found herself in quite a few political headlines. First, people were worried that she may be voting for Donald Trump. Then, Kardashian decided to endorse Hillary Clinton in a blog post. Despite all this election talk, she actually missed most of Monday night's debate. But don't worry, she had a perfectly good reason. According to E! News, Kardashian was preoccupied with a "little" family situation — seemingly meaning her brother Rob Kardashian's recent tweets. The reality star appeared to confirmed the drama during a conversation with Andy Cohen at his The Girls' Lounge dinner in NYC on Tuesday.
When Cohen asked her about the debate, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star said,
"I watched a little bit of it but I was on the phone at the same time, a little family drama. Group texting."
Interesting, huh? You can't blame her for putting family first. As a recap, Rob posted Kylie Jenner's phone number on Twitter twice on Monday night. Not only did he share Jenner's digits (which E! confirmed were real), but he accused the family of leaving his fiancée Blac Chyna out of his baby shower. He posted the following tweet:
Based on the wording, it sure sounds like his anger was directed at his family. When he wrote "you all," I'd have to guess he meant his sisters and mom. Therefore, this adds some context to Kim K's comment to Cohen. Timing-wise, he posted the tweets only an hour into the debate.
Unfortunately, Kardashian didn't reveal any further info about her brother's situation. But earlier on Tuesday, TMZ reported that Chyna and Rob actually split months ago. The site also claimed that the only time they were together recently was for a dinner when their show, Rob & Chyna, premiered. Back in March, the pair was also the subject of breakup rumors, but at the time, they denied it and said they were just being more private with their relationship.
As for the whole baby shower debacle, TMZ reported that the Kardashian family planned to host two separate showers, given ChyRo's alleged breakup. They also claim that when Rob found out Chyna wasn't invited to his shower — even though she reportedly agreed to do the events separately — he got mad and started his tweeting spree. Bustle has reached out to reps for Chyna and the Kardashians in regard to these reports, but has not yet received a response.
Leave it to Kim K to tell fans something, but not quite enough. I need more details here. I'd have to guess the Kardashian-Jenner family group text was buzzing like crazy Monday night. And no, probably not the usual fun, Kimoji-filled convos that they sometimes screenshot and post to Instagram. Considering Rob has yet to delete his tweets about the baby shower or Jenner's phone number, this drama isn't over just yet.
