SJP also has a successful shoe line, but she is stepping out, literally. Sarah Jessica Parker is launching a dress collection that she designed and it's super specific and quite anti-Carrie. It's the perfect time to expand her brand. So, what's in SJP's dress line?
Sarah Jessica Parker's dress line is all LBDs aka little black dresses. That's it. LBDs are a staple of any wardrobe, since they fit so many occasions, from weddings to dates to work functions. Given SJP's personal style, there is no way these LBDS will be anything less than amaze. Don't labor under the illusion than an LBD-only line will be boring, which Miss Bradshaw might have done. SJP can (and will) play with cuts, shapes, details, fabric, and more.
The range is called SJP LBD and the frocks will be sold exclusively via Bloomingdale's to start. The very first SJP LBD will be available in October. And that's all we know, LBD lovers. Prices for the SJP LBDs are TBD, as well. Bustle reached out to Bloomingdale's PR to inquire about further specifics, from pricing to release date to how the dresses will roll out to whether or not the store will be the only retailer for the dresses.
Parker used her Instagram to confirm the existence of the line. She twirled her way through a revolving door in a long LBD with heels, looking stylish and gorge as usual. She noted she has been wearing this frock for a while but was coy with further details, because she wants the first dress to be a surprise. OK, fine. We'll wait. It's almost October anyway!

Her caption revealed these key details: "A new collection of Little Black Dresses designed by me, all made proudly in the USA. Our first silhouette (a surprise!) will launch this October exclusively at @bloomingdales, with more designs to follow soon thereafter. Including this one, which I've been practically living in."
It appears as though SJP wore the same dress in this video posted on her Insta two weeks ago. It boasts the same cut, twirl, and back details. It's so insanely flirty. SJP is testing this LBD IRL.

To recap: The first dress is coming next month. The dress in these Insta posts doesn't seem to be the first to be made available. It sounds like SJP LBDs will be parsed out, as opposed to launched all at once.
