You Need This Halloween Highlight In Your Life
Brace yourselves, because the rainbow highlighter just got a spooky upgrade. Jenna Georgescu, the woman who runs Bitter.Lace.Beauty created an entire line of Halloween highlighters. While they're all absolutely gorgeous, there's one that stands out a little more than the others. The Slay Killuminator (see what they did there) might just be the spookiest of them all. When can you buy the Halloween highlighter? It'll be here just in time for the holiday. UPDATE: Bitter Lace Beauty's Slay Highlighter will be available on Oct. 1 at 3pm EST on the company's website.
While companies are busy replicating the indie brands' rainbow highlighter, Bitter Lace Beauty has been hard at work making something even cooler. The brand thought up four different Halloween highlighters that range from fun and playful to straight up scary. All of them pack some serious shine, and are must-haves for your holiday makeup bag. There hasn't been an official launch date announced yet, but the brand announced on Instagram that the entire Halloween highlighter collection would be available sometime in early October. That's not too much longer!
The brand has slowly been revealing the four shades, and has clearly saved the best for last. Slay, which is the perfect name in my opinion, is a silver and red powder arranged in a spooky blood spatter pattern. Since they're handmade, each one has a slightly different design, too. I know what you're thinking — how can that possibly work as a highlighter? I'll let the swatch speak for itself on this one.
The bolder side shows you what the color looks like without mixing it, while the bottom shows what it's like blended together. The packaging might be made for this specific holiday, but this is definitely wearable enough to sport all year 'round.
I can't get over how cool the look is. They've created a candy corn, spider web, and skull patterned highlights as well, but this one really takes the cake. The brand posted a behind-the-scenes shot of the two colors that Slay is made out of too.
Ugh. So pretty! There's no doubt in my mind that these will sell out just as fast as their rainbow highlighter did, so I'd mark my calendar for the first week of October.
