Is Kim K. Thinking About Voting For Trump?

by Emily Lackey

Brace yourselves, Kim Kardashian fans. If you thought you knew which candidate the reality television star was voting for in the November election, you might have to think again: During a recent interview in Wonderland magazine, Kim Kardashian reportedly stated she might vote for Donald Trump. The quote, which does not appear in Wonderland's online version of the interview, was picked up and published by the London Evening Standard, before being recirculated by multiple outlets including the Huffington Post and New York Magazine's The Cut. However, The Cut reportedly reached out to the article's author, Eve Barlow, who allegedly confirmed the quote appears in Wonderland's print edition. (Bustle reached out to Wonderland and Kardashian's reps for comment on the quote and its absence from the online interview, but have not received a response.) This political change of heart, of course, is a complete 180 from her earlier allegiance to Hillary Clinton, whom the star met last year.

Back in August 2015, Kardashian posted a photo to Twitter after meeting Clinton — a selfie with her, Clinton, and Kanye West — and used social media to share how much she love hearing Clinton speak about her goals for the country. But, if this quote is true, her thoughts on the presidential candidates may have changed recently.

“At first I thought, ‘Oh my God, I’m so Hillary [Clinton]," Kardashian reportedly told Wonderland. "But I had a long political call with Caitlyn [Jenner] last night about why she’s voting Trump. I'm on the fence."

The decision of whom to vote for for president is one that all Americans have to make in November. Every four years, deciding which candidate will do the most for the U.S. and make decisions that best benefit the future is a tough one — and this election, it seems that the decision is an even tougher one for Kardashian.

Thankfully, there is still a little bit of time for Kardashian to make up her mind: I’m sure as she talks to more family and friends about the issues at stake in this election, she will make the right decision in the end.
