Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes Could Be Married

In desperate need of a good celeb love story to mend your broken heart after crying over Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's split this week? Don't worry — there's a big one ready and waiting. Apparently, earlier this year, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes reportedly got married, according to Us Weekly. Bustle has reached out to both of their reps, who declined to comment.

Update: On Wednesday afternoon, TMZ reported that their sources claim Mendes and Gosling are not married.

Earlier: Sources close to the couple tell the mag that they decided to make things official in front of their family and friends, and as you can probably guess, the whole thing was super private. In total shock? Same — but maybe I shouldn't be. After all, Gosling and Mendes have been together for five years and have two daughters together, two-year-old Esmeralda and four month old Amada. And even though secret weddings are kind of required if you're a high profile couple and don't want the whole thing to become a media circus, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't bummed that I (and the rest of the world) missed the whole thing. Maybe now that the news is out there's still hope that photos will eventually surface? Keeping hope alive over here!
