Are Sansa & Arya In Danger On 'GoT'?

by Caitlin Gallagher

If you were upset that Game of Thrones' Sansa Stark was snubbed by the Emmys during nominations, you have a whole new reason to be outraged. During E!'s Emmys red carpet coverage, Sophie Turner revealed to Giuliana Rancic that she was speechless when she read the Game of Thrones Season 7 script, and that fans will be "really satisfied." But then, mere moments later, she dropped a bombshell: She doesn't know if Sansa and Arya will survive Game of Thrones Season 7. While the actors are notorious for leading viewers astray (ahem, Kit Harington on Jon Snow, anyone?), it's still never comforting to know that Game of Thrones could kill off two of the best characters it features.

Turner is a presenter at the 2016 Emmys, so she showed up in full form — and was totally ready to show off her new tattoo that she just got with bestie Maisie Williams (aka Arya), and explain how it was a matching tattoo of the date when they first found out that they had landed roles on the show. But, her motivation for getting the tattoo now is enough to cause any Game of Thrones fan to panic: Turner said that her castmates (most likely, the Stark siblings) have discussed getting wolf tattoos if they end up surviving the series, then followed with, "But we don't know if we're going to make it, so Maisie and I were like, 'OK, let's get these ones before anyone kills us,' which is so possible."

Since she was laughing when she made the comment about being killed off, I'm inclined to say that Turner is just messing with Game of Thrones fanatics. Let's be real: If fans are actually going to be "really satisfied" with Season 7, then Arya and Sansa must live.
