Being on Dancing With The Stars is not an easy endeavor, so I always expect some kind of support system for each of the contestants. There are family members in the audience, coworkers, and other loved ones, but very rarely is there a reunion of one of the most popular television shows of all time! Maureen McCormick (also known as Marcia Brady) is a contestant on Dancing With The Stars Season 23, and who better to give her a hug after she was done dancing than Florence Henderson, McCormick’s television mom? There was a Brady Bunch reunion on Dancing With The Stars !
McCormick didn’t need the hug for support — she and partner Artem Chigvintsev rocked their number, and even though McCormick was nervous, she pulled it together quite nicely. McCormick has been a fan of Dancing With The Stars for a long time, and she and Artem seem to match really well together. It’s very important to gel with your partner on Dancing With The Stars, because if you don’t, it’s like two oxen going in different directions. Luckily for McCormick, she has the support of both her partner and her television mother to get her through the crazy rehearsals, silly injuries, and blisters (I'm sure there are plenty of those).
So what are McCormick’s odds on Dancing With The Stars? It’s really hard to judge on the first night, but I would say that her odds with Artem aren’t bad. McCormick knows how to move her body — she’s not wooden or stiff like some of the other contestants — so as long as she keeps improving, I’d say she has a shot at that precious Mirrorball trophy.
