What To Know About Miss America 2017 Red Carpet

by Amy Sciarretto

It's that time of year again — time to crown a new Miss America. The 2017 Miss America pageant is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. ET. The actual Miss America competition will broadcast live on ABC from Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. But what about the red carpet, which will be dotted with celebs? Can you stream the 2017 Miss America red carpet?

I've done quite a bit of digging and I can't any information or any confirmation the 2017 Miss America red carpet will stream live for your viewing pleasure. Sure, I'd love to see what judges like Olympian Gabby Douglas, newlywed singer Ciara, and others are wearing. But this event is more about the contestants, their platforms, and their gowns. I am way more interested in what the women battling for the much-coveted Miss America crown are modeling on stage.

Here is the other basic intel. After a stint in Las Vegas, the event returned home to the Garden State several years ago. The current Miss America is Miss Georgia Betty Cantrell and she will hand off her crown at the end of the evening. Be prepared for plenty of pretty dresses, impressive displays of talent, incredible makeup, and lots of, well, pageantry at this annual tradition.

They are a bunch of beauties and they all have important missions.

It appears that you may be relegated to soaking up all of the Miss America 2017 red carpet looks via social media. There's bound to plenty of celeb, attendee, and fan posts on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. So you may have to settle for your phone in your hand until the actual ceremony begins on TV at 9 p.m.

Who will take the crown this year? Well, I am rooting for Miss New Jersey Brenna Weick since she is my fellow stateswoman. Duh! I'd love to see Miss N.J. as the newly-minted Miss America. Tune in tomorrow.
