Kylie's Blonde Hair Took Longer Than Her Snap

by Shea Simmons

Rome wasn't built in a day, and apparently neither was Kylie Jenner's bleach blonde hair. Based on her Snapchat story before Fashion Week, it was easy to assume that Jenner's hair was a one day, potentially one process kind of deal. While many know how horrific that could be for her locks, finding out that the newly bleached blonde took several days making me feel markedly better for the fate of Jenner's strands.

According to a post to her website, Jenner explains that the process of becoming a blonde was not a single day event. In fact, in the post, Jenner says that it, "took a couple days" to get her to the nearly platinum hue that she's at now. Thanks to celebrity hair stylist and colorist Priscilla Valles, Jenner was able to make the transition. It does have me wondering, though. Was Jenner wearing wigs the days before her Snapchat chronicled transformation? I certainly wouldn't put it past her.

If she was wearing wigs, though, it's hardly the biggest of surprises. Jenner has long been known to switch up her hair style using wig. From blunt bobs to mint green tresses, her wig game is on point, and she's a pro at rocking them.

Her perchant for wigs, though, is probably why fans were so shocked when they watched her Snapchat story last week only to see her real hair being steadily bleached. There was not doubt that the change was real when she showed the bleach actually on her head.

Jenner has definitely shown a wig being cut while on her head before, but you can't really fake a color job. Twitter's reaction to Jenner's blonde hair definitely shows that a change this drastic is definitely huge for the youngest of the Kardashian and Jenner clans.

The saga of Kylie Jenner's blonde hair has been quite a beauty epic, but it seems as though her fans may have all their answers now. If you were thinking of mirroring your favorite Jenner, just remember that blonde hair isn't built in a day — even if Snapchat makes you think it is.
