iPhone 7 Will Have The Longest Battery Life Ever

by Erin Corbett

Apple's Live Event on Wednesday offered some serious updates to their products that all iPhone users should be excited about. One update I know I'm most looking forward to is an increase in battery life. But how long will the iPhone 7 battery last? Well, according to the company's executives, the battery power will last up to two hours longer than the 6s, making it the "longest ever."

In a press release from the company that was released on Wednesday, they noted that the newest phones will also offer the "best battery life ever." That's definitely something we can all look forward, especially since Apple also announced some awesome new camera features and a new Super Mario game that will make some of us want to use our phones even more frequently than we already do.

According to Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller, "iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus dramatically improve every aspect of the iPhone experience, reaching a new level of innovation and precision to make this the best iPhone we have ever made."

With all these awesome updates coming our way this fall, we'll need all the extra battery power we can get.

Along with the extra battery life, the iPhone 7 is both dust and water resistant and comes in a new "jet black" color. Another big update to the new iPhone is that the phone will come without a headphone jack, though it comes with "EarPods" and a headphone adapter in case you want to go the classic listening route and continue to use your current pair.

The new iPhone will be available for pre-order as soon as Sept. 9, with shipping starting on Sept. 16, which is the phone's official release date.
