Phil Schiller, the Apple executive who gave us the low-down on the newest iPhone, noted that the iPhone 7 Plus' dual-camera system will offer various upgrades to the lenses and zoom features. According to the Verge, users will be able to zoom up to 10 times further, and the dual-camera will be able to use both lenses at the same time "to mimic a shallow depth of field," offering a similar photography experience as a standard DSLR camera. For all the photography people out there, this phone is definitely for you.
The new and improved photography experience will also include optical image stabilization, allowing for better exposure and a larger aperture, as well as a telephoto lens that includes an optical zoom option. Bloomberg noted that Schiller called the latest iPhone camera update "the best camera in any smartphone."
According to a press release that the company released following the event, Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing noted, "The completely redesigned cameras shoot incredible photos and videos day or night."
