Heads up, YA nerds: you've got a chance to catch novelist Tahereh Mafi on Late Night with Seth Meyers ! Less than two days after she kicked off her book tour with husband Ransom Riggs, Mafi is scheduled to appear on Late Night's Sep. 1 show to talk about her new novel, Furthermore.
Tahereh Mafi first rose to prominence with 2011's Shatter Me, the first book in her series of the same name. Shatter Me consists of three main installments and two digital companion novellas. In 2014, the novellas appeared in print for the first time, collected and bound in a sixth book called Unite Me.
Mafi's new book, Furthermore , is a fantasy novel for middle grades readers. The story follows Alice: a girl born totally white in a world where color is synonymous with magic. Accompanied only by a new friend named Oliver, Alice sets off on a quest to find her missing father, one that will take her through the dangerously magical world of Furthermore.
Riggs and Mafi joined forces for their #OTPTour book tour, which launched on Aug. 30 at the New York Public Library. Riggs is currently promoting Tales of the Peculiar: a collection of myths set in the same world as his famed Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children series.
In an Aug. 31 tweet, Riggs encouraged fans to tune in for Mafi's appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Mafi will join fellow guest Pedro Pascal — A.K.A. Oberyn Martell to Game of Thrones fans. You can see Riggs and Mafi together at any of the #OTPTour's remaining stops.
