Fans Are Thrilled Nick Viall Is 'The Bachelor'

They said it couldn't be done, folks, but it happened: Nick Viall is officially the next Bachelor. Although it seemed totally possible that ABC had chosen one of JoJo Fletcher's Bachelorette runners up, Chase McNary or Luke Pell, this time, producers decided to buck tradition and go with someone who has steadily become a fan favorite after this season of Bachelor in Paradise. And as you can imagine, the fan reaction to Nick as the next Bachelor has turned Twitter into a giant party.

After hours of speculation at the hands of Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss' Twitter account, the announcement finally came on After Paradise, with Nick spoiling the ending of his BiP relationship with Jen, and announcing he'd be our new leading man. People didn't even care that things didn't work out with Jen, though, because fans were too busy celebrating the Season 21 Bachelor. Were there haters on Twitter? Probably. But those people probably wanted boring old Luke or Chase to be the Bachelor, so I'm not going to listen to them. Instead, let's focus on the reactions from true fans who know that Nick is the right choice for an interesting season, and that it's time for him to finally find love.
