Rihanna Slayed All Her VMA Performance Outfits

Rihanna doesn't hold back when it comes to her outfits, especially on stage, and this time was no different. Rihanna's VMA performance outfits were casual yet totally cool at the same time. Let's just say that they were all representative of where she is in her career. Compared to her past looks, these were definitely some of her best thus far.

When I heard that Rihanna won the 2016 Vanguard Award I was super excited. Not just because she's an amazing artist, in my opinion, but because that meant she was going to perform at the VMAs. You might remember the time she cancelled her 2016 Grammys performance, but at the VMAs she definitely made up for that missed performance by singing a mash up of her best hits.

Since her performances were supposed to represent her entire career thus far, it only made sense that she wore something laid back yet trendy. For her first on-stage outfit, she looked like her true cool-girl self in her Hood By Air body suit and white corset that blended right into her knee high boots. The singer has a knack for always sporting outfits with interesting details. You really just need to see it to believe it.
