Meet NYX FACE Awards' 2016 Winner Laura Sanchez

If you love getting makeup tips and watching tutorials from YouTube beauty vloggers, you probably know about the NYX FACE Awards. In case you missed it, the awards took place on Saturday, Aug. 22 in Los Angeles and although all of the finalists were amazing, Laura Sanchez came out on top as NYX FACE's 2016 Beauty Vlogger Of The Year. But if you don't keep up with bloggers and are wondering who is Laura Sanchez, I've got you covered.

The NYX FACE Awards were full of beauty bloggers and celebrities alike. Between host Kandee Johnson and a performance by Chloe X Halle, the night was super fun, but the most exciting part was when Sanchez took home the coveted Beauty Vlogger of the Year Award. Sanchez is a Columbiana vlogger who now lives in L.A. and specializes in FX makeup tutorials. From her beauty tutorials, I can definitely see why. In order to win the Vlogger of the Year Award, Sanchez participated in a beauty video challenge against five other popular beauty vloggers including Alex Poletti, Brianna Fox, Haley Wight, Fernanda Machado, and Kristi McKee.

After a panel of four judges, including NYLON's editor-in-chief Melissa Giannini, judged the blogger's six videos and votes from fans were counted, Sanchez was announced as the winner.

If you're not familiar with Sanchez's videos, she does product reviews and is known for her amazing FX makeup looks, which could serve as great inspo for Halloween.

Sanchez looked amazing as she accepted the Vlogger of the Year Award!

According to a press release, Sanchez will be awarded $50,000, and will also receive consultations with professional makeup artists, a year’s supply of NYX Cosmetics, and the opportunity to kick-start a professional career in makeup artistry. The five runner-ups will each receive $15,000.
