Drake & Rihanna Could Go To The VMAs Together
There's something about Drake and Rihanna together that I just adore. Maybe it's their friendship, maybe it's because their songs together are always flawless, or maybe it's because they're both so famous they don't even need last names. Whatever it is, I can't get enough of them, so I love seeing them together... and I'm constantly hoping the dating rumors that are always surrounding them will someday be true. If you feel the same way I do, you know that as a very important musical event approaches, there's one important question to answer: Will Drake and Rihanna go to the 2016 VMAs together?
They may not actually be dating — or is that just what they want us to think? — as of now, but that definitely doesn't mean they won't show up to the VMAs together. Of course, neither half of what has the potential to be the most epic celeb couple ever has confirmed that they're taking the other as their date to the awards, so who they'll show up with is anybody's guess. And if you're hoping they'll arrive together, there's good news. Neither Drake nor Rihanna seem to be dating anyone right now, so there's at least a tiny chance they'll walk the carpet side by side.
And even if they don't, we'll probably get to see them share a stage on Sunday night anyway. Rihanna will be receiving the 2016 Video Vanguard award for all of her contributions to music, and that's a pretty big deal, so she'll definitely be there. And Drake has a night off from touring on Aug. 28, so there's a good chance he'll be available. And being often those closest to the artist being honored step up to give speeches, it wouldn't be surprising at all if Drake was part of the Rihanna celebration. Who would be better to say nice things about her than someone who's obviously played a huge role in career?
If all else fails, there's always the chance these two will perform together. The Video Vanguard award usually includes a very explosive mini-concert from the artist being honored, so it'd be surprising if Drake didn't join her for part of it. These two have collaborated so many times that it's basically a given. My fingers are crossed!
