The Best Summer Date Idea, According To Your Sign

If you’ve been dreaming of those summer nights as Sandy and Danny belted it out about… they’re coming to a close. And fast. With a few weeks left of the official summer season, you’ll want to soak up that sunshine, the longer hours outdoors and all of the romance that comes with the steamy, sticky weather. But if you’ve done just nearly everything you can think about — from the beach to a picnic — you might be running out of ideas of what to do for a summer date.

To the rescue? My wonderful mom and astrologer, Kim Tigar. She gives me advice nearly every single day based on my zodiac sign (Virgo, if you’re curious) and though I’d like to selfishly keep her to myself, she really does have some pretty amazing ideas when it comes to living your best life, based on the day you took your first breath. Of course you’ll want to keep your partner or date's sign in mind when you start booking some of these fun end-of-summer date ideas, but you have some time, so you can do one for each of your signs!

Here’s how to enjoy the last of summer loving, regardless if you’re a water, earth, fire or air sign:

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

“Your high energy and devilish attitude makes you up for any type of adventure, so do something outdoors and risky while you still can. Go on a zip line somewhere exotic or from a great height. Or even skydiving if you dare! If you don’t have time, test driving motorcycles or hiking a tough trail are great ideas, too."

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

“As an Earth sign, one of the things you love about the summer is being connected to the outdoors as much as possible. And if that outdoor adventure involves food, that’s even better. You also love things that are worth great quality, so a good idea for you might be a weekend that starts with a cooking class, followed by visiting a farmer’s market, shopping for fall clothes and antiquing.”

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

“It’s OK, Gemini, if you never make up your mind. That’s part of your brilliance and charm, and that spontaneous nature makes you really fun to be around. You also love the Earth, so any type of outdoor date — like biking by the river — will make you happy.
