Yep, An Inspirational Pokemon Book Is Happening

This autumn, Pokemon superfans are going to be even more overjoyed than they were when Pokemon Go launched: a new book is coming out called The Pokemon Book of Joy . Did you just get happier reading that sentence? I bet you did.

According to the publisher, The Pokemon Book of Joy is going to be "inspirational," and will contain all the "life-affirming wit and wisdom" of our favorite Pokemon characters. As adorable as the Pokemon characters are, they have also said some pretty profound things over the last 20 years, apparently.

Like that time that Meowth said that we all "have a lot in common. The same Earth, the same air, the same sky. Maybe if we started looking at what's the same instead of what's different... well, who knows." That was pretty deep, right? Or what about that time Mewtwo reassured us that "the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are." Or that time Jigglypuff said "Jigglypuff!" OK, maybe that one wasn't as inspirational as the others.

The Pokemon Book of Joy is going to include a ton of wise and funny Pokemon quotes and illustrations, and the publisher promises it will be "bursting full of positivity, humour and fun." How great does this sound?!

The publication date for the new Pokemon book is yet to be confirmed, but it will be some time this autumn — so it's not long to wait! Until then, we'll just have to be content with playing non-stop Pokemon Go to wile away the weeks.
