The faces of Bachelor in Paradise Season 3 might be different, but you'll notice that "paradise" looks just as idyllic as last year. That's because Season 3 was filmed at the same resort as Season 2: Playa Escondida in Sayulita, Mexico, according to Inquistr, and, yup, it's an actual resort. So, if you're looking into new vacation locations, you really can visit the Bachelor in Paradise 3 location. Sayulita is a village situated about 25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta and, even if you can't get a room at Playa Escondida, the town has plenty of other vacation rentals available, according to Sayulita.com.
Bachelor in Paradise differs from other Bachelor shows in many ways, but one notable one is that the series spends its run in one location — no jetsetting to dates required. Contestants get cozy on the beach, in the pool, at the bar, and in the bedrooms (ahem) with each other at Playa Escondida, which describes itself as a "private jungle-beach and hideaway spa" on its website. And the Vallarta-Nayarit region is happy to have the show — the Mexico Tourism Board originally invested $6 million in order to bring Bachelor in Paradise 2 to the area last year, according to the Puerto Vallarta Daily News.
Here's what you should know you'll find if you ever decide to get your vacation on in Bachelor in Paradise 3's location.
All About Sayulita
Sayulita is a "Bohemian town ideal for camping" located along the Riviera Nayarit, which is a 192-mile stretch of coastline filled with beautiful nature, exclusive hotels, and solitary beaches, according to the Mexico Tourism Board. Sayulita.com also advises that the village has English speaking doctors and pharmacists, in case you were wondering.
Playa Escondida
If you've ever wanted to pretend you're on Bachelor in Paradise, you can book a room and hand out your own roses while staying at the resort (I won't tell). According to the Playa Escondida website, room rentals start at $165 a night from May to October and offer tropical, beachfront, and Bird Canyon views. The rental also has the option of renting a golf cart so you can explore the area.
According to SayulitaBeach.com, Playa Escondida means "hidden beach" and it literally is a hidden resort, because it has no identifying signage.
Grupo Vidanta
While Bachelor in Paradise headquarters is at Playa Escondida, the show has also filmed at this luxury resort last season, according to PR Newswire. Its Sky Garden lounge was the setting for Joe and Samantha's date and People photo shoot and Carly and Kirk's romantic fireworks-watching date.
Tequila
You can be like Jade and Tanner by taking a day trip to Tequila (the place, not the booze). The town, the birthplace of the famous beverage, is located more inland, about 3 and a half hours from Sayulita by car. They've got the tequila, but you'll have to bring your own true love.
Restaurante Alcalde
Last season, Tenley and Josh dined at famous Mexican Chef Francisco Ruano's restaurant, which is named for the market of the same name — and both are located in nearby Guadalajara.
The Beaches
What would a tropical vacation be without visiting the many beaches Sayulita and Riviera Nayarit has to offer on the coast?
So that's how you can make your own Paradise, but the finding love part is all up to you.
