'BiP' Keeps Bringing Up Andi & Josh
As if the drama from Evan and Carly’s awkward relationship wasn’t enough, Evan is about to shake things up by bringing up Josh's past on the upcoming episode of Bachelor in Paradise . In the preview that was released at the end of last week’s episode, Evan pulls Amanda aside to warn her about Josh saying, “There were some verbal abuse claims.” We can only assume he’s referring to Andi Dorfman’s tell-all, It's Not Okay, about her relationship with Josh. “There was never any type of physical abuse in our relationship,” Andi wrote. “Emotional, yes, verbal, absolutely, but it never got physical, nor did I ever think it would.”
Amanda Stanton already confronted Josh about the book during their one-on-one date, and he denied all the book's claims across the board. "I can't comment on specific things in any kind of book that my ex has written because it's a fictional story,” he said on the show. “There's stuff that's so ludicrous — how do you comment on something like that?” Andi shot back on social media after the episode aired, tweeting, “I speak two languages ... English and Truth.”
Whatever the truth is, the book is clearly about to become front and center in the upcoming episode, and it has a lot to say about Josh.
Their Alleged First Fight
You would think that between all the romantic dates and obvious favoritism Andi showed Josh over her season there wasn’t much to fight about. Wrong. Apparently their first fight came after she made the guys take the lie detector tests in Italy. Quick reminder, Andi didn’t read the results, but according to Andi, Josh was allegedly super upset about the test.
He was aggressive and combative, playing the victim and practically asking, "How dare you make me prove my honesty?" And though he was obviously careful in his words as the cameras rolled, no amount of restraint could hide the look in his eyes. It was a look of disgust and rage.
Her Career
We all know that Andi quit her job as an attorney, but she claims part of that decision was allegedly due to Josh.
When people asked if I missed my days of being an attorney, I would beam as I gushed about how much I longed to return to work. It was very clear, however, that he had no desire for me to go back to being an attorney. I believe "selfish" is the word he used. As in, it would be "selfish" of me to return to such a "dangerous job;" selfish to him, selfish to our relationship and selfish to our children (who, mind you, were nonexistent at this point).
His Alleged Actions
According to Andi, he was allegedly controlling over what she posted to social media.
So many little arguments came out of these damn platforms. If I didn't post a "Man Crush Monday" of him, he’d get upset. If I posted a "Throwback Thursday" of my friends instead of us, he’d find it suspect. God, and don’t even get me started on Twitter. That one could spawn a whole different fight.
She then went into detail about him allegedly getting upset that she followed a random country singer that her pal had a crush on.
After The Breakup
Instead of waiting for Andi to come clear out her stuff after they split, she claimed that he allegedly took everything out of her closet and basically piled everything she owned on the floor in the living room.
It is so much more than my possessions being thrown in a pile. It is beyond the feeling of being disposable. It is the feeling of disrespect from someone who had once promised to love and protect me. And I think most of all, deep down, the fact that he could treat any woman this way disgusts me even more.
The Friends' Wedding
Andi says her friends' wedding in South Carolina was the moment she knew things weren’t going to work out. She was the maid of honor for a pal and she and Josh allegedly fought pretty much the whole weekend. Their first fight was because he allegedly believed she was talking badly about him to her friends and the second big argument came when he allegedly asked her how many guys she’d hooked up with at the wedding prior to their relationship. The grand finale was a screaming match in which Andi claimed he called her a “b*tch,” and she told him to leave.
I had gotten into a routine of not only tolerating these situations but accepting them as part of our toxic relationship. It was as if I was addicted to this man and the destruction that resulted in loving him.
But, at the end of the day, it's a he-said, she-said situation. Josh disagrees with everything Andi wrote, while she is standing by her side. Amanda, for her part, seems to believe Josh's denials, so I guess she trusts him.
