Josh Murray is on Bachelor In Paradise, and boy oh boy is Nick Viall not happy about it. It’s basically Andi Dorfman 2.0. Speaking of which, both Josh and Nick brought up on Bachelor In Paradise how Andi Dorfman had written a tell-all book about them, and that not all of the things she had to say about the two men were that nice. What did Andi say about Josh and Nick in her book, and how is it going to affect their relationships in Paradise?
To be honest, Nick comes off much better in It's Not Okay than Josh, with Andi mostly just writing about his overnight date with her (in perhaps too much detail). She had much more to say about Josh, her ex-fiancé, and why their relationship ended, even going as far as to claim he was emotionally abusive. Josh denied those claims during Monday's BiP episode.
"[Andi] has not-so-kind things to say, and it's very unfortunate that she would depict me in such a false way," Josh said to Amanda during the show. He then followed it up with a more formal denial in a talking head interview: "I can't comment on specific things in any kind of book that my ex has written, because it's a fictional story. There's stuff that's so ludicrous; how do you comment on stuff like that?"
In the book, Andi claimed that having sex with Nick was the catalyst for the end between herself and Josh. She wrote that Josh allegedly told her that if she'd had sex with Nick, their relationship would be over. Mind you, the show was finished filming at this point, so Andi originally lied about the encounter before coming clean just ahead of the Fantasy Suites airing. Andi wrote, “That one sexual escapade would become a power play used by my fiancé to justify his mistrust in me. It would be an excuse to call me a whore. And it would eventually lead to the demise of my engagement."
So what does this mean for Bachelor In Paradise? Probably not much, since Amanda seemed satisfied with Josh's response to the whole situation. It could, however, add fuel to the fire between Nick and Josh. These guys have quite the rivalry already, and if Nick were to throw Andi’s accusations in Josh’s face, that would certainly not end well, given Josh's take on the contents of the book. Here's hoping the two steer clear of that conversation. Some fights are not worth having, especially on national television.
