As queen of outfits that are way too cool for most of us, dark lipstick, and the color black, it only makes sense that Lorde is collaborating with makeup giant MAC Cosmetics. The "Royals" singer is working with the company to produce a limited-edition makeup collection that will be available this summer. Why wasn't I this cool as a 17-year-old again?
It's a surprise that Lorde has time for much else between taking care of all those Grammys, frolicking around with her BFF Taylor Swift (no big deal), and wearing clothes that make all of our inner gothic hippies jealous. But the pop star seems to be on a roll, and since she has become something of a style icon as of late — we're all pretty excited to see this new collection. And so is Lorde.
According to The Cut, the singer has always been a fan of the cosmetics company.
I have loved MAC Cosmetics since I was a little kid. I remember saving up to buy my very first MAC lipstick [Snob] at 14, and it was used by about 20 of my friends! MAC has a very clear aesthetic, that has always felt fashion forward to me. So I was really excited to work with them on these products, which I use pretty much every day and night. I hope you will too.
Although few details about the collaboration or forthcoming products have been released, we're already thinking about the possibilities of burgundy lipsticks, thick eyeliner, and slightly scary, but totally cool nail polishes. Yup. Can't wait.
