Noel Shouldn't Be Trusted On 'PLL'

by Kelly Schremph

I'm not going to lie, when word spread of Noel Kahn's return to Pretty Little Liars I couldn't help but get excited. There just seems to be so much more that can get explored with his character. He's always been so shifty and mysterious that you can never been quite certain where his loyalties lie. So, obviously, his highly anticipated come back has created quite the stir among many diehard fans and launched the development of numerous Noel Kahn Pretty Little Liars theories that could help explain what the heck his motives could be for returning to Rosewood. Because in this town, no one ever appears without a specific purpose. So if Noel is being brought back into the PLL universe, it's because he has something very important to contribute. The only question is... what?

Given the show's track record throughout the years, it's probably going to be a while before that question will ever be answered. But in the meantime, it's always fun to speculate, which is why I've taken the liberty of rounding up some of the best Noel theories out there for us to all ponder over. We may not know his motivation just yet, but odds are one of these predictions is bound to be at least partially true, right?

Noel Is A.D.

It's hard not to notice that the discovery of Rollins' burner phone just so happened to coincide with Noel's grand return. And considering how much Rollins and A.D. had in common, it isn't a far stretch to think that the mysterious person on the other end of that phone is A.D. himself. Something tells me that Noel is connected somehow, in a big way. He has never been a big fan of the Liars. Perhaps becoming A.D. is years' worth of built up resentment finally rearing its head. Or maybe he was closer to Charlotte than we thought and want to get to the bottom of whoever is responsible for her death. Either way, just because he's been out of sight, doesn't mean he hasn't been lurking around and terrorizing his former classmates.

Noel Killed Charlotte

Then again, maybe Noel and Charlotte had a falling out for some reason and it led to him actually being the one who killed her. In Alison's flashback, she recalled sensing someone else's presence in that church after she left Charlotte there during their fight. It could've been Noel. Maybe he didn't even intend to kill her, but things got heated and deadly consequences followed.

Noel Is Working With Jenna

There's also a great deal of speculation that Jenna could be the infamous A.D. we've been looking for. But even if that turns out to be the case, odds are she's been getting help from somewhere. Not even Charlotte worked alone as A, so Jenna undoubtedly has partners helping her to carry out her master plans. And considering that these two used to date and have a longstanding history together, I wouldn't be all that surprised if Noel was given her a helping hand.

It's hard to say how Noel's storyline will play out moving forward, but one thing is for sure — this is a guy who should not be trusted. The Liars better watch their backs.
