Everyone would like to be remembered a certain way once they're gone. The same goes for Kim Kardashian, who wants to be remembered as not just someone who was on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, made an infamous sex tape, or had a feud with Taylor Swift. However, she does want everyone to remember for her some worthy reasons, and, actually, she's already accomplished her goal. The 35-year-old reality star opened up about how she wants to remembered as part of Harper's Bazaar's September 2016 issue. She said,
"I'd like to be remembered as someone who was smart in business, works hard, and can be sexy and a mom. A powerful but still sexy, nonconforming woman."
Whatever you might think of Kardashian or however you might feel about her, there's no denying that she is all of those things listed above. You don't have to be a fan of hers, but how can you not respect the fact that she has made a name for herself through several businesses, doesn't conform to society's standards, and embraces her sexuality. She truly is a powerful force. With each day, Kardashian leaves a mark on this world and it's something she'll continue to do once she's gone.
A Smart Businesswoman & Hard Worker
She has her own book. She helps run the DASH stores. She has her own perfume line. She's a successful reality star. She has her own clothing line. She's a co-founder of ShoeDazzle. She has her own mobile game. Do I really need to go on? When it comes to creating businesses, Kardashian knows what her fans want and knows how to do it the right way. She even made the July cover of Forbes for being a mobile and technology success. Guess what? She isn't stopping anytime soon. "When people looked at me in a way like, 'Why is she stepping into the tech world? That’s not her territory! Stick to reality TV!' I was like, 'No,'" she told Forbes. "This is fun for me. Now I’m coming up with Kimojis and the app and all these other ideas. I don’t see myself stopping."
A Sexy Mom
There's no doubt Kardashian loves her kids, North and Saint West. One of the things that I admire about her is that she embraces being sexy and doesn't let the fact that she is a mother dissuade her from doing so. Being a mom doesn't mean mothers have to follow certain rules, stick to society's so-called standards of motherhood, or have to act or look a certain way. As she told Cosmopolitan in March, "I am a mother. I am a wife, a sister, a daughter, an entrepreneur, and I am allowed to be sexy." Damn straight she is. Why should Kardashian stop being true to herself just because she's a mom? She definitely doesn't do that and continues be who she's always been.
A Powerful, Sexy, Nonconforming Woman
If I had to pick three adjectives to describe Kardashian, these are the ones I would select. In all areas of life, she always manages to remain powerful, sexy, and never conforms to society or anyone's rules. For example, remember when she shared the above selfie and it sent the world into an uproar because a mother shared a naked photo of herself? By the way, it was so much more than a nude image, but an empowering one that showed it's OK for women to embrace their sexuality and that they shouldn't be shamed for it. Despite all of the backlash Kardashian faced, she didn't let it get the best of her. I mean, she even ended up sharing a similar nude photo with model Emily Ratajkowski. Yeah, no one will ever change who she is.
Kardashian, keep on doing you and you will continue to be remembered exactly how you want to be.
