9 Ways Sonja Has Changed Since The 'RHONY' Pilot

Sonja Morgan will always be one of my favorite Real Housewives cast members. She is one of the few reality stars who can balance being extremely entertaining while also seeming like a genuinely nice person. Sonja wouldn't hurt a fly, yet she is always the most interesting person in every Real Housewives of New York City scene that she's in. For the most part, Sonja has maintained that unique persona throughout her whole time on reality TV. However, in other ways, Sonja Morgan has changed since her first RHONY episode back in 2010.

Thankfully, every change that Sonja has made is positive and I love her even more for all of them. Even though she has toned things down since she joined the RHONY cast, honestly, Sonja's version of toned-down is the average person's level of being turned-up. No matter what, Sonja will always be the most fun person in every room and that is why she is the ideal reality TV star. Sonja is so great, I'm just waiting for the day that Bravo finally gives her the spinoff I've been waiting for.

But in the meantime, here are nine ways Sonja has changed since we first met her in RHONY Season 3.

1. She Doesn't Drink

Though previous seasons showed Sonja letting loose after some drinks, she made the decision to stop drinking this season and I fully that. Besides, she doesn't need alcohol to be the life of the party.

2. She Isn't BFFs With Ramona

Ramonja was my favorite BFF pairing in the Real Housewives franchise, but when Ramona started to distance herself from Sonja, talk behind her back, and shade her to her face, I was vicariously offended for my fave Sonja. Still, I hope these two can eventually get back to a positive place, even if they don't become as close as they once were.

3. She Has A Clothing Line

All of the women loved hating on Sonja for her lack of clothing line, but now that Sonja Morgan New York is here, they've all kept quiet. And on top of that, the clothes actually do look amazing. Take that, haters.

4. She Has Interns

With the least amount of shade possible, I have to admit that I'm still not sure why Sonja has interns, but I am so happy that she does. I love watching the dynamic between her and the interns on RHONY and seeing what kind of random tasks they have to fulfill. I mean, I would have interns too if I could.

5. She Is Close With Luann

I never would have thought that the party girl and the prim and proper countess would end up getting along, but they have both evolved to a point where they have a really fun friendship. I love watching these two go out and have the most inappropriate conversations every week.

6. She's Lost A Few Teeth

While I feel bad that Sonja has had to deal with dental issues, she does have a knack for turning it into a comical situation.

7. She Stands Up For Herself

Sonja is definitely the nicest person on RHONY, but that doesn't mean she'll let people push her around. She knows how to stand up for herself while remaining respectful and I'm glad she's found that balance.

8. She's Even More Quotable

Sonja says the darnedest things. The moment when she yelled "What are you doing here without Dorinda?" is beyond iconic and yet another reason why she's a reality TV legend.

9. She Doesn't Name Drop (As Much)

Sonja used to talk about celebs all the time, but I never really understood why — she's fabulous enough to shine on her own. Thankfully, she has put that habit to rest.

Even though she had a pretty great start, somehow, reality TV has only changed Sonja Morgan for the better.
