Robby & JoJo Have The Ex Talk On 'Bachelorette'

The men of The Bachelorette have brought a lot of drama this season, and I hope you didn't think that just because we're in the home stretch (literally) that means it's slowing down! On this week's episode, JoJo headed out on her hometown dates, which meant getting pretty personal with all of her remaining men... aka asking a lot of the tough questions. And that led to Robby opening up about his ex girlfriend on The Bachelorette, and in case you were wondering, he's totally over her. Well, as far as he's willing to let on, at least.

So why is Robby's ex such a big deal? Their breakup was super close to when The Bachelorette started filming. According to Robby, they ended things in December, but casting for the show is usually finalized in the early part of the year, since JoJo's quest for love began in March. That means that Robby went directly from a serious relationship right into taking on a reality show to find love without much downtime in between. So honestly, can you blame JoJo for wondering if he still had feelings for an old flame when he's made so many major changes in his love life so quickly?

Before JoJo met Robby's parents, she wanted to make sure that, since Robby did break up with his girlfriend so recently, that he was totally over it. He reassured her that it's part of his past and that it's not an issue, but JoJo wasn't letting go of it right away — especially since she's been there before with her ex Chad.

"The reason I told you I loved you when I did is because I did. I wear my emotions on my sleeve. I am open like that," he told her, before promising her yet again that his ex is going to stay in the past.

So far, so good... and hopefully it stays that way. Like JoJo says, her feelings for him are really strong, and she definitely doesn't deserve to get her heart broken all over again. Don't make any shady moves, Robby. I'm watching you!
