Kimye's Wedding Might Be Sooner Than Expected

Kimye wedding update alert! Stop everything you're doing because news of these nuptials comes in small doses, so you're going to want to sit down, get your weekly fix, and then try to function as normal until next week when we find out what Kim's dress might look like. Reportedly, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West set their wedding date and will be married May 24. That's just under three months! Ah! So soon! Are you prepared? No! Then get freakin' prepared because this wedding train ain't slowing down.

Kim Kardashian previously stated that she and West would have a Paris wedding this summer and apparently she was a little off because the first day of summer isn't until June 21. Silly, Kim! According to Mail Online, "The date is an interesting choice because it's when astronomers are predicting a comet will burst through Earth's atmosphere and create a brilliant meteor shower, lighting up the sky." To me, a noted Kimye expert, this seems like exactly the type of reason West would choose a wedding date. This is a man that proposed at a baseball stadium that he rented out complete with fireworks and a live orchestra. Plus, we already know that he's said to be a bit of a groomzilla.

It's possible that this wedding date is just a rumor as neither West nor Kardashian have confirmed it, but don't be surprised if it comes true. These two aren't people that would need to shy away from moving forward a wedding date because they have the resources to make anything happen. If they need to move the date because of a meteor show, they can do it. If they need to move the date because that's when they were able to book the entire area surrounding the Eiffel Tower, then that's just how it is. If Ryan Seacrest is forcing them to have it May 24 because that works best with Keeping Up with the Kardashians' filming schedule, then they'll absolutely have to do it because he runs everything and that probably includes Yeezus at this point. Also, his birthday in on December 24. Coincidence? I think not.

As for whether or not May 24 is really the date, we'll have to wait and see. If it is, I don't think Kim Kardashian, or more likely Kris Jenner, will be able to hold in the news much longer.
