Especially if you've been single for a long time, it can sometimes feel like you're never going to meet the right person. Sure, it's fun to have someone in your life to cuddle up to while you hate-watch (or genuinely enjoy) what's on TV. But being single — especially in your 20s — can afford you so many more opportunities to better yourself, with no distractions. It's much better to be in a happy relationship with yourself than a mediocre relationship with someone else. The truth of the matter is that even the best relationships take tons of time and effort to maintain, and if there are other areas of your life that need work — your career, fitness, or family — having an SO can sometimes be detrimental to your growth in other areas. If you have someone to support you, that's awesome — I'm not bashing being in a relationship at all.
