Vicki Gunvalson's New Guy Has An Impressive Career

I don't actually know Vicki Gunvalson, but I definitely view her as a friend in my head. I cannot help being nervous every single time I hear about her dating life. As all faithful Real Housewives of Orange County viewers know, Gunvalson does not exactly have the best track record with men and that's putting it mildly. So I'm so curious about Gunvalson's new boyfriend, Steve Lodge, what he does for a living, and anything else that may be relevant. After her picks of the past, I cannot help being protective over her.

I just want to know what this guy's deal is and learn a little more about him, and a good place to start is to find out what he does for a living and what kind of work he has done in the past. We all know how important work is to Gunvalson since she talks about it all the time, but then again it was never clear what Brooks Ayers' job was, so maybe that's just something she can look past.

Gunvalson Instagrammed a photo of herself and Lodge and revealed some things about her man in the (way too many) hashtags at the end of her caption. Among those, she included "#politician" and "#retiredlawenforcement." An Us Weekly article also reported that Lodge is a retired police officer. As far as the politician thing goes, the Huffington Post reported that he ran for a seat on the Anaheim City Council back in 2012. And based on Lodge's LinkedIn profile, was also a paratrooper in the United States Army and a homicide detective.

His professional background indicates to me that Gunvalson may have (finally) found herself a stand up guy. Or at least I hope so. As Andy Cohen would say, we will have to "watch what happens." And now that people know who the OG of the OC is dating, I'm sure that we will find out a lot more about him as time goes on.
