Big Brother is fun to watch, but it’s so much more fun when the showmances start. It’s like watching The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, but everyone is stuck in the same house and they’re all still competing against each other. Big Brother 18 has its share of showmances already, but none so cute as that of Paulie and Zakiyah. But here’s the rub — this showmance is like, not even featured on the show. Why is Big Brother 18 avoiding Paulie and Zakiyah’s showmance? It’s all over the live feeds, but why isn’t it on television?
Frankly, I have no idea. Perhaps there are so many other relationships going on in the house (kind of) that there’s just no room for Paulie and Zakiyah? I mean, there are Natalie and James (maybe), Corey and Nicole (who had a showmance when she was on Big Brother 16, too), and maybe Bronte and Paul (things seemed to have cooled here, but you never know). Zakiyah and Paulie are the cuddliest, flirtiest showmance so far this season — they’re frankly the cutest, and they should be a main plot point when the show airs on television. And I’m not the only one who thinks it; moments after their adorableness airs on the live feed, there are Twitter accounts and YouTube videos as an homage to their burgeoning love. They’re so cute, in fact, that I’ve made a list of the best and cutest moments to prove that Paulie and Zakiyah’s showmance should take center stage.
Their Cuddle Sessions
I mean, I don’t know what else to do in a house without television or internet or phones or whatever. They’re Netflix and chill, but they have no Netflix. I love when they snuggle closer — it absolutely kills me.
All The Snacking
Oh yeah — that’s what you do when you have nothing else to do — you snack. And snacking in a relationship is the best kind, because you don't love someone unless you're willing to share food. Look at Paulie and Zakiyah eating that ice cream.
The Chores
Paulie folded Zakiyah’s clothes when she was doing her make up… I mean, who does that unless you’re in a couple or trying to be? I barely fold my husband’s laundry anymore.
The Chess Game
Teaching someone how to play a game — especially a difficult one like chess or similar — is tough. It’s hard to have patience, especially with someone you love. But Paulie taught Zakiyah and they didn’t kill each other, so I think that means they’re meant to be.
The Stupid Conversations
I mean, a relationship is basically just sitting on the couch watching television and talking and laughing until someone dies. Paulie and Zakiyah comparing tongues makes me think they’ve in a relationship for years.
The Lap Dance
I mean, these two want each other — it’s so obvious. They may not have slept together yet (and I don’t know if I would since everyone on television can see it, but that’s neither here nor there), but they want to. Look at this lap dance. Can I get that for my birthday?
Bottom line: Zakiyah and Paulie are the cutest Big Brother couple possibly of all time and they need to be on television, stat.
