Taylor Attempts To Keep Scary Stalker At Bay
Taylor Swift has a terrifying situation on her hands. After receiving multiple letters, emails, and social media messages, Taylor Swift has obtained a restraining order against a man claiming to be her husband. Timothy Sweet has harassed Swift since 2011, according to paperwork submitted at Los Angeles Superior Court, and has sent a number of alarming messages some of which threaten Swift's family and even Secretary of State John Kerry.
TMZ claims to have obtained some of the messages from 33-year-old Sweet. One reads, "My wife, Taylor Swift (Sweet) and I live in Beverly Hills. I am in love with her. In conclusion, we treat each other with dignity and respect. I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life." Another, which brings up John Kerry and shows the frightening extent of Sweet's delusions says, "Dearest Taylor, I'll kill any man who gets in the way of our marriage. Message to John Kerry, Secretary of State. Message from YOUR Presidential Candidate."
But the scariest message of all calls out Swift's family in particular. "If anyone in Taylor Swift's family gets killed, it is not my fault." It makes sense then that in addition to getting a restraining order for herself, Swift was also granted orders for three of her family members.
A copy of the legal document which Swift filed is available on the Daily Mail Online and shows that a hearing about the case is scheduled for March 25. Hopefully, the hearing is a good sign for this all coming to an end because after three years, a restraining order might not be enough to keep the messages away.
