Haven't you heard? Mermaids are all the rage amongst toddlers. Or at least that's the case when it comes to celebrity kids. Kardashian offspring North West and Penelope Disick had an under the sea themed birthday party in June. On Thursday, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's daughter Luna wore a mermaid costume in a Snapchat. And although she's done plenty of cute things since her birth in April, this may be the most adorable moment yet. When you see the picture, you'll know that's not even hyperbole. Seriously, drop everything and go follow Teigen on Snapchat ASAP, so you don't miss any future family milestones.
Why a mermaid costume, you may ask? Allow me to explain. In the past 24 hours, Teigen has been promoting Vita Coco's coconut oil. According to one Snap, they sent her over 800 jars. She's done everything from make toast to brush her dog's teeth with that stuff. It may be sponsored content, but it's pretty hilarious. Based on the caption of Luna's mermaid costume, Vita Coco provided the toddler outfit too. And I must say, that's one way to make a lasting impression. Even Teigen dubbed it the "best gift ever!"

I know, I know — she's too cute for words. And do you see the detail in that knitting? It's so much nicer than one made of plastic or cotton. Also, Luna's facial expression is everything. She seems to be saying: "What am I doing here?" Obviously she's unaware how adorable she looks or that she's helping promote coconut oil. I'm sure she'll understand one day.
Perhaps Luna will follow in her mom's footsteps and grow up to be a model. She already made her music video debut this week, since she appears in Fergie's "M.I.L.F. $" video. Before you know it, she'll probably have a fully contracted career as a child star. In the meantime, I'll continue checking Teigen's Snapchat for such updates. More costumes, please!
