LVP fans, it's time to sit back with a glass of rosé and rejoice. According to TMZ, Lisa Vanderpump is returning to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . After reportedly talking with production sources, TMZ claims Vanderpump made some serious negotiation terms for her Season 7 contract. If true, you may as well refer to her as the queen of negotiations, because some of her alleged demands are quite impressive. Basically, the upcoming season of RHOBH might be LVP's best one yet for several very important reasons. Update: On Thursday, Vanderpump confirmed she is returning to RHOBH, tweeting, "Yep, never thought I would return, but after many discussions. The pump is still in the game. Thank you to all of you."
Earlier: Bustle has reached out to Bravo regarding both the contract and negotiation claims, but did not receive an immediate response.
According to TMZ, Vanderpump didn't ask the network for more money, but wanted to ensure that some of the important cases near and dear to her heart will be showcased once RHOBH returns. For example, she reportedly wants her support of the LGBT community featured even more. As Vanderpump Rules fans know, the 55-year-old reality star always participates in the Los Angeles Pride Parade.
In addition to her work with the LGBT community, Vanderpump reportedly also wants RHOBH to show her work to fight AIDS and her battle against China's Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Actually, the latter was part of RHOBH Season 6, with some of her cast mates joining in her walk to end the annual event in which thousands of dogs are killed for their meat. It seems that she wants more of her causes to take the spotlight, and according to TMZ, producers agreed.
It wouldn't be a horrible thing to see more good than bad featured throughout the Housewives franchise. Yes, the series is mainly about the drama, the ridiculous situations the stars find themselves in, and their luxurious travels, but if the worthy causes the women support were showcased even more than they already are it would be wonderful. If that's LVP's endgame, then I applaud her.
On Tuesday, TMZ reported that LVP might not return to RHOBH. The outlet claimed she wanted to move past Season 6's negativity and said she just didn't have time for the reality show anymore due to her other reality series, Vanderpump Rules, running SUR and Pump, and everything else she has on her schedule. At the time of the report, Bustle reached out to Bravo for comment, but the network declined to comment.
Well, whatever is happening behind the scenes, it appears all is well and LVP (and Giggy) will be back for more RHOBH.
