Emily Blunt & John Krasinski Welcome Second Child

Well, here's a celebration which will put your local fireworks display to shame; On July 4th, the always adorable John Krasinski and Emily Blunt announced the birth of their second child, using the celebratory day as the perfect opportunity for the announcement. Taking to Twitter, Krasinski confirmed that the "4th family member" arrived two weeks ago, with Blunt giving birth to a "beautiful daughter" by the name of Violet, before adding the apt hashtag #Happy4th. The ridiculously cute couple are already the proud parents of two-year old daughter, Hazel, and if you're anything like me then you've probably already cooed and completely melted over pictures of the adorable child whenever Krasinski has proudly shared them on social media. So if you thought that the gorgeous love story of Krasinski and Blunt just couldn't get any more damn adorable, then think again, because now they have two beautiful babies to coo over and still appear to be just as loved up as ever.

In January of this year, for instance, Krasinski got terribly distracted in an interview with The Daily Beast when he stopped talking about his new films 13 hours and The Hollars in order to get all fuzzy brained and romantic about his wife. And what he had to say is some seriously some heart-bursting, eye-streaming loveliness which I dare you to read without absolutely, completely crumbling into a swooning mess:

... For me, the best days of my life started when I met my wife — that’s the truth, it’s not just me saying it because it sounds nice on a card. She’s one of the coolest people, she’s so talented, she’s beautiful, and she’s certainly out of my league. And so all of a sudden all of the things I loved, I got to find someone who loved that about me. There was a lot of my life that she hadn’t experienced and a lot of her life that I hadn’t experienced, so all of a sudden we got to start doing things that we liked. When you’re lucky enough to meet your one person, then life takes a turn for the best. It can’t get better than that.

For the love of Jim Halpert, my heart. Blunt and Krasinski have always come across as being a wonderfully down to Earth, low profile couple who value each other and their young family, above all else, and that's truly something worth celebrating. On days like the 4th of July, when friends, family and loved ones have the opportunity to spend time together and celebrate their country and their lives, there's no better time than to make like Krasinski and Blunt and show some appreciation for the people who have made a difference in your life, and to celebrate those who complete it.

Time will tell whether Krasinski and Blunt will share any more ridiculously gorgeous pictures of their new brood on social media (like they did after Hazel was born), but one things for certain, as and when they do you can count on those pictures being the cutest and most heart-warming pictures imaginable.
