Daniel Radcliffe Might Return As Harry Potter

by K.W. Colyard

He might not be appearing in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, but that doesn't mean the original Boy Who Lived will never revisit the wizarding world. An interview with RadioTimes revealed that Daniel Radcliffe might return to Harry Potter, if the time was right. I must ask you not to scream.

Radcliffe has enjoyed a fun acting career, post-Potter. He took on literary roles in The Woman in Black, Kill Your Darlings, Horns, and Victor Frankenstein. The television series A Young Doctor's Notebook cast him as a younger version of Mad Men's Jon Hamm. Since his cameo appearance as a dog walker in Amy Schumer's Trainwreck, Radcliffe has continued to flex his comedic muscles with roles in Swiss Army Man and Now You See Me 2.

With jobs still pouring in for the young actor, Radcliffe has the privilege of being choosy about his return to Harry Potter. He told RadioTimes that a reprisal of his most famous role is unlikely, but not impossible:

It would depend on the script ... The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary. But then I am sure Harrison Ford said that with Han Solo and look what happened there! So I am saying, ‘No,’ for now but leaving room to backtrack in the future.

For now, you can catch Daniel Radcliffe on the big screen in Swiss Army Man and Now You See Me 2.
