And the Oscar Winners Are...
It's the most wonderful time of the year. No, not the holiday season, sillies. Awards season! And the ceremony wrapping a big, giant bow on cinema's most exciting time of year is the 2014 Academy Awards, which finished up two long months of campaigning, congratulating, and charming the pants off the viewing audiences. But which producers, editors, writers, and actors picked up Oscars Sunday night? Though some categories were all but a lock (did anyone expect anyone other than Jared Leto and his beautiful ombre tresses to pick up Best Supporting Actor?), others, including Best Picture, were far more competitive. Ultimately, though, it was a big night for 12 Years a Slave , which not only won Best Picture, but won Lupita Nyong’o a Best Supporting Actress statute. But it was an even bigger night for Gravity, which was shut out of most major categories (except for Best Director, the category in which Alfonso Cuaron became the first Latin American winner), but, thanks to technical categories, won a whopping seven awards.
So which other Hollywood legends and newbies proved they're the big men and women on campus by taking home a little gold man? Find out in the winner's list below!
