Kylie Jenner Is Keeping Her Lip Kit Promise

by Sara Tan

Love her or hate her, one thing's for sure: Kylie Jenner loves her fans, many of whom have now turned into loyal Kylie Cosmetics customers. I can count the ways that Jenner expresses her love towards them (her endless Snapchats, her app updates, her sweet Instagram messages), but here's how I know for sure that she cares: According to Jenner's latest restock, she has decided to keep her promise of restocking product on the reg. If you're wondering if all the Kylie Lip Kits are sold out yet, I've got some great news — hours after going on sale at 3pm PST on Friday afternoon, June 24, nearly all of the kits are available.

Kylie Lip Kit fans know that this is a huge development. Ever since the teenage makeup maven released her first Lip Kits on her site, they have sold out in lightning speed — literally seconds, people. Gradually, over time, Jenner and Co. began to create more stock, learning the ins and outs of running a successful lipstick company. They studied how many customers would log on and from where, and kept track of which kits were selling out the most. Jenner even made changes to the site when she learned that it kept crashing when customers couldn't successfully check out their carts. Praise you, Kylie Jenner. Praise.

While some might argue that not selling out in record time like they used to means Kylie Cosmetics is losing steam, but I would beg to differ. To run a beauty empire, you have to give the people what they want! Given how many different lip products are out there in the billion dollar beauty industry, customers could easily buy something else if Lip Kits were to become way too inaccessible. By having weekly restocks and adding new hues and formulations, Jenner is creating more hype and excitement around her brand. She's even entertaining the idea of opening a Kylie Cosmetics store, which definitely implies that she's going to also add more products to her line. Mascara or falsies, anyone?

She might be young, but she (and her advisors, natch) know what they're doing. Just because all the Kylie Lip Kits aren't selling out like they used to shouldn't be a bad sign. Instead, Kylie Lip Kit fans should look at this as a celebration of what's to come — more colors, formulas, products, and yes — a store.

Should we all just go get Kylie Lip Kit Swatches tattoos now or what?
