The Muppets Just Want You to Have a Great Weekend

Watch out, Lego Movie another family-friendly franchise is on the way and could de-throne your mega-hold of the box office! That movie is the Muppets Most Wanted , naturally. Who better to usher in the end of winter and the coming of spring than Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrel, Kermit, Miss Piggy, and Co.? And by the looks of the latest trailer, the Muppets are doing it with style and lots of pizzazz.

The latest trailer features the delightfully deprecating “Sequel Song” where the gang croons about the pitfalls of sequels and how they will inevitably not live up to the first film. Oh the Muppets and their forever cheeky, wink-wink, nudge-nudge approach to musical puppetry. We also get to revel in seeing our favorite stars sing and dance with enough Broadway panache to make Patti LuPone proud.

We even get a sneak peek into Muppets Most Wanted’s cameos and guest stars — your eyes serve you right... that is Christoph Waltz AND Diddy. Get ready for more Electric Mayhem, Kermit doing the Moon Walk, Miss Piggy’s many fabulous costume changes, and Tina Fey in a get-up that would make Sochi Olympians blush with pride.

It’s Friday folks and you need a Muppets big Hollywood go-for-broke song and dance number. You also need an inspirational quote from Miss Piggy. So I shall leave you with both.
