Daisy Ridley Experiments With A Turmeric Face Mask
If you're all about finding new, DIY treatments to incorporate into your skincare routine, then you'll probably seriously relate to Daisy Ridley's turmeric face mask experience. According to People, the actor decided to try out a homemade face mask using the spice, and the result was pretty hilarious (and probably not intended). She is all of us right now.
When breakouts strike, you probably know the desperate feeling of wanting to try literally anything in existence to get rid of them. And Daisy Ridley totally knows the struggle. The Star Wars star needed an at home remedy for zits, so she took her search where we all do, Google, and found that turmeric can help fight breakouts, so she decided to try it out. Seems legit, right? I mean, turmeric is supposed to be a superfood and all. But that's where things got a little crazy.
Ridley posted a video of the DIY mask she made to Instagram, and spoiler: It turned her skin yellow. "I scrubbed my face and I am YELLOW! Ahahahahaha. Will have to see if I'm a squeaky clean clear skinned goddess in the morning... #wishmeluck #forrealsfloraimsosorryifimstillyellowinthemorning #benmorrisyoutoo." And it is basically the best thing you'll see on social media this week.
Note to self: Don't apply a turmeric face mask right before going out in public.
But in truth, turmeric is definitely an amazing spice. As far as beauty goes, it is an anti-inflammatory, so it can definitely help bring down pimples, and it is also great for anti-aging, preserving skin's elasticity, controlling oily skin, and even controlling dandruff.
