Taylor Swift Songs To Help You Process Hiddleswift
Somehow, you guys, we are now living in a world in which photos of Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift kissing in what appears to be a seaside romance tryst has broken the Internet. The wave of emotions the entire universe is feeling right now has yet to subside. After all, it has only been a mere two weeks since Swift and her ex-beau Calvin Harris confirmed their breakup, following 15 months of dating, and it seems as though Swift has already filled that blank space Harris left behind. There is no denying that Swift has been known for writing personal love ballads and pop anthems about the list of men of her romantic past. For that reason, I already believe that Swift's songs may have hinted at the Hiddleston love affair long before any #Hiddleswift rumors came to light.
Sure, Swift's last album, 1989, is now almost two years old, but seeing as she mentioned the likelihood of not working on any new music currently, perhaps she also gave us an inner working into how her heart operates. Yeah, I know, it sounds a little out there, but I am just trying to make sense of it all too. As we continue to laugh, cry, and be shock by everything T. Swizzle, here's a round-up of Taylor Swift songs that could describe her relationship with Tom Hiddleston.
1. "Style"
Hiddleston has incredible style and class, and the Brit's secret weapon is knowing about excellent tailoring to cut the perfect silhouette of flawlessness. Not to mention, he has been known to rock a classic, white, wet t-shirt, with Loki locks supremely slicked-back.
The Most "Tom" Lyrics: You got that James Dean daydream look in your eye / And I got that red lip classic thing that you like.
2. "Out Of The Woods"
Arguably, this song is getting over a rough patch in a relationship, yet it also calls to a moment of coming out with a confirmation for a relationship. And, also, let's not forget, the moment both Tom and Taylor met was at the 2016 Met Gala, and they reportedly shared a dance that sparked the budding romance.
The Most "Tom" Lyrics: When we decided (we decided)/ To move the furniture so we could dance/ Baby, like we stood a chance/ Two paper airplanes flying, flying, flying.
3. "Enchanted"
This 2010 hit from Swift's Speak Now album speaks about the beginning of a relationship and becoming wonderstruck after meeting someone new for the first time. It echoes the beautiful messages of brand new chapters and wanting to experience new love from painful situations.
The Most "Tom" Lyrics: Your eyes whispered, "Have we met?"/ Across the room your silhouette/ Starts to make its way to me/ The playful conversation starts/ Counter all your quick remarks/ Like passing notes in secrecy.
4. "Everything Has Changed"
This one is a little self-explanatory on the Tayvin, but it also offers the same excitements of starting a new romance with a person and taking on a shift in one's life to begin again. Case in point? Finding Tom after loving Calvin for so long.
The Most "Tom" Lyrics: And all my walls stood tall-painted blue/ And I'll take them down, take them down and open up the door for you/ And all I feel in my stomach is butterflies/ The beautiful kind, making up for lost time/ Taking flight, making me feel right/ I just wanna know you better, know you better, know you better now.
5. "Begin Again"
"Begin Again" is all about that first new relationship you take on in the aftermath of a big breakup. It's about finding someone new who appreciates how unique and hilarious you are. Breakups undoubtably happen for a reason, and "Begin Again" understands this sentiment. Rather than dwell on the negatives, it looks to the positives of love and mending the heart. (Plus, the photos of Hiddleston and Swift did break on Wednesday. Just sayin'.)
The Most "Tom" Lyric: Thinking all love ever does is break and burn and end/ But on a Wednesday in a cafe I watched it begin again.
6. "Wildest Dreams"
Anyone of these lyrics paramountly point to Tom. It's captivating.
The Most "Tom" Lyric: He said, "Let's get out of this town/ Drive out of the city, away from the crowds."/ I thought heaven can't help me now./ Nothing lasts forever, but this is gonna take me down/ He's so tall and handsome as hell/ He's so bad but he does it so well.
7. "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"
Too soon?
Whether Tom and Taylor are the real deal or not, they definitely both seem happy in the photographs. Though, it may take us all a little bit of time to fully process the budding relationship, one thing is for sure: they are awfully cute together.
