Miranda Kerr, Jessica Alba Grace H&M's Front Row

by Mary Avant

We’ll be the first to admit it: After celeb-packed New York, London, and Milan Fashion Weeks this February, we’ve been a wee bit disappointed so far with the lack of celeb power on the front rows of Paris Fashion Week. Granted, Lanvin, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Chanel, and other big-name design labels that draw some of the biggest and most fashionable stars in Hollywood have yet to show their Fall 2014 ready-to-wear collections, so we’re holding out hope that the major stars will show their pretty faces and fabulous style on the front row at some point. But at this stage in the Paris Fashion Week game, the star power has been notably lacking, with the exception of one (somewhat surprising) show in particular: H&M.

When the fast-fashion brand showed off its upcoming fall collection yesterday at Le Grand Palais in Paris, a slew of celebrities — including Miranda Kerr, Jessica Alba, Jourdan Dunn, Solange Knowles, and more — graced its front row, making it the most star-studded fashion show since the Burberry presentation in London. And not only was the front row full of models, actresses, singers, and more, but it was also home to some pretty impressive, majorly glam, and refreshingly bold ensembles.

It was no surprise to see Kerr at H&M’s Fall 2014 collection, considering that it was only weeks ago that the brand announced the Australian supermodel would be the face of its spring campaign. Sporting a hi-low black brocade gown and a neck full of dazzling diamonds, Kerr looked like the definition of effortless, ladylike glamour while checking out the Swedish brand’s designs for fall.

Rocking an equally feminine look, Alba joined Kerr on the front row in a delicate white lace gown, black tights and heels, a deep burgundy lip, and a casual updo. The actress was sandwiched between two beauties in blue, with Dunn — who’s also modeled for H&M in the past — sporting a matching graphic skirt-and-blazer combo and Knowles wearing a two-piece, watercolor-print ensemble with major hair and accessories.

Securing celebrities the likes of Kerr, Alba, Dunn, and Knowles on its first row is just another step in cementing H&M’s relevance and power in the fashion world, even in the realm of high fashion. After all, this is a brand that’s landed top-notch models like Kerr and Gisele Bündchen for its campaigns, and stars like Helen Hunt have even worn the label on the red carpet for major events like the Oscars. And if there's one thing we love more than fashion itself, it's when the worlds of high fashion and affordable style come together to create designs that both superstars and everyday fashionistas can obsess over.
