Ramsay Needs To Go Down On 'Game Of Thrones'

by Kelly Schremph

If there was ever any doubt in your mind that the Battle of the Bastards will be an epic Game of Thrones battle, the promo for next Sunday's episode managed to squash any and all of those fears. This battle between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton will be an unforgettable experience, however, only one of these two men can come out as the victor... the only question is, who will it be? Naturally, we'd like to think that good (aka Jon Snow) will overcome evil (aka Ramsay) by the end of the hour, but this is Game of Thrones we're talking about here, so you never know. It is possible that Ramsay will win the Battle of the Bastards, though I hate to think of what that would mean for the rest of these characters.

If Ramsay is able to hold on to Winterfell, that doesn't bode well for the outcome of Jon or Sansa or really anyone on this show. Because even if they don't die, becoming a Bolton prisoner is definitely a fate worse than death. I mean, I'd actually be rooting for the White Walkers to show up just so Ramsay could finally be taken care of. Plus, I doubt Ramsay's ambitions will end just with the claim on Winterfell. He'd undoubtedly want to extend his power even further, and sadly, he may have the resources to do it.

I'm not going to lie, that army of his looks impressive. A lot more impressive than the one Sansa and Jon have nobly attempted to put together, though, the giant definitely helps matters. And don't even get me started on that unnerving Smirk that can be seen on Ramsay's face throughout the promo. Is that just his cockiness showing through or is his side winning? Either way, he knows the odds look good on his side right now, but let's not forget that Jon's survived a battle with the White Walkers and lived to tell the tale, so let's not give up on the good guys and gals just yet. Winterfell deserves a Stark victory. Let's just hope the writers feel the same way.
